The second is an eerie photograph from the World War I era. The photograph accompanied some letters in an old trunk found in England. As the story goes:

The G.I. who signed himself as “Doug” in a letter to Doidge, told how his unit had been training in Woodchester Park, in Gloucestershire in the spring of 1944. He described how a pontoon bridge a cross a lake collapsed under the weight of armoured vehicles killing more than twenty soldiers.

Doug wrote that in the eve of the disaster, he and a friend named Chuck had seen an Angel hover above where the men would later drown. He wrote: “The whole thing took on the shape of what I can only describe as an Angel. I could see what looked like a long white robe. It had no feet and there were shapes like wings behind its shoulders.”

I was on a historical cemetery tour, when I saw a ground crypt (with a slotted window) so like any good hunter, jammed my camera in and shot a few pics. Mostly out of curiosity. It wasn’t til a few weeks later I noticed them. The hundreds of dust spots and floaters I’ve seen was getting me down. These are the first orbs I’ve seen, where they cast light on the wall !! You will see a bricked over door with a circular window above. I shot from the opposing window. The date is right, but the time was about noon-ish. The pic. may not come, for it’s a hair over 1MB. While my heart goes out to her family, I feel they are missing an opportunity to educate young drivers on the dangers of speeding. One look at Nikki’s corpse is probably enough to make many eager teens slow down.

What I found interesting is when I took a look at her most graphic photo, I noticed a few orbs on the bottom of the picture. There are two, directly underneath the mangled car. The spirit of Nikki? An angel of death?

My name’s Christina and this is a picture of my family on Christmas Eve 2008. As you can see there is an orb right in front of my Grandfather’s right knee. Am I crazy or can you see what looks like a face or almost like a rough skeleton face in the orb??? My mother is a big believer in the whole orb phenomenon and she freaked when she saw it. My grandmother passed away 5 years ago, so I’m sure that my mom is hoping that her mother was with us during that holiday moment. Just thought that I’d share. Thanks.

There is kind of a strange smiley face in the orb when you look at it closely.

There’s a fun little website that shares “true” and fictional ghost stories…(though it’s obvious the “true” stories, such as the one about the “naked ghosts” are also made up). This photo comes from the tale of Sariah, “the miracle child and her friends.” Supposedly a crack baby, she was rescued and now has spirits hovering around her:

I have always been able to see Spirits and Angels around her. On several occasions when I saw them, I took pictures. The Spirits in the picture I identified as my first and second husbands who passed away in our home. The third spirit I don’t know who that was. Both of the ghosts of my deceased husbands were in the exact places where they used to love to hang out. One at the corner of the counter in the kitchen and the other in the living room.

The moment my first husband died, his cows started running wild in the pasture like they did with him when he was alive. He used to run through the pasture with them and they ran around with him like pet dogs. It was as though he was running with them in the spirit. They ran around like that for about one hour. There was about 50 people in our home at the time that he died and one said look at those crazy cows and everyone watched them out of our big bay window. That year we had a drought and the moment he died my friend came running into the house and said the grass turned green on a small hill in the pasture. A week before he died he told me that he was never going to leave me and I will always protect you.

As I said…these are some tall tales.
