Step-Ins on Ghost Whisperer
Posted by stephanie on November 26th, 2008 filed in TelevisionI finally started watching Ghost Whisperer and I love it! It’s like a haunted version of Touched by an Angel. In a recent episode, Melinda (played by Jennifer Love Hewitt) sees the ghost of her husband enter into a new body. On the show, they call this a “step-in,” where one soul replaces another soul whose time is up and has departed for the light.
I have heard of “step-ins” before, only the term I heard used was “walk-in.” A walk-in is typically considered to be a more evolved soul that takes over an adult body to complete tasks on the planet. This often happens after a traumatic event in which the old soul is unable to maintain the life force to keep the body alive. Many have speculated that self-help guru Byron Katie is a walk-in, because of her miraculous transformation during a period of deep depression and complete split with her previous personality.

Ok,I had this cat that i loved dearly, he seemed to be to human to be just a cat. His name was sonny, and he and i were really close, again, i had that feeling of him being a human in a cats body,at nite, we would look at each other and i wished he were human, because he would be my perfect macth if he were, at nite when i fell asleep, he would hug me like a human and gently kiss my lips,well i lost sonny to a cat diease,when i said good-bye to him, i said’Come back to me, don’t leave me”long story short, he has come back as a fireman who feels that he knows me, and has the feeling everytime we pass on the street. We both have questions, and my friend who is a cop looked it up and the fireman and sonny my cat died the same day,and sonny is a walk-in to Stephans body.We have so many “?’s” to ask. I love the Ghost Whisperer and when this happened to Melinda, i guess it really does happen. I just had my “spiritual awakening” and i am experiencing ALOT of stuff lately. “Sonny & Stephan” they both can see spirits, they both love the sci-fi channel, they both love the movie ‘what lies beneath”(they both react to the exact same bath tub scene)
